Stone Skull, St Andrews Cathedral

sketchfab

This skull carved is a fragment of a sandstone tomb slab, located in St Andrews Cathedral. Two edges of the block are roughly finished and two are broken. The back surface is flat and has a shallow L-shaped groove cut in it. This would have been designed to fix the stone to the stonework next to it.
