Stop block for T-track with measuring tape

Stop block for T-track with measuring tape

thingiverse

This is a stop block specifically designed for T-track with a measuring tape. If you're in North America, you can buy the Veritas tape track from Lee Valley (part 13K12.04). It can be difficult to get tape in a t-track exactly aligned with the miter saw. Plus, if you change blades, chances are the new blade will have a slightly different thickness. This stop block allows for small changes (up to ~1/8") to accommodate this variation via a movable window with a cursor. Most table saw fences have this type of design. Parts needed: - 5/16 T-bolt, 1.5" long - Small screw - Small piece of transparent plastic The stop block has a recess for a small acrylic ("plexiglass") window. Just about any kind of thin plastic will do, and should be readily available online or at your local home center.
