This is an addon for Snelon and ZRex's designs that enables wind drive for the strandbeest. Check out the video of it in motion at https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=486876592084205. To use this addon, you'll need to reprint the last section's frame, add a fan, shaft, and gears. A 25-30 mm long metric M3 bolt is also required to serve as an axis for the fan. If you decide to build a strandbeest with six pairs of legs like Theo Jansen's original design, the 120 degree camshaft arm comes in handy. All parts should be printed in PLA using the following settings: 0.2 mm layer height, two perimeters, 20% infill, and no supports. After printing, sand well the upper faces of the gears to remove any plastic blobs left behind. You can choose to sand or not sand the fan blades for perfectly smooth surfaces.
