Strap system for setting up a tent in the rain

I was amazed by the idea for a strap system for setting up a tent in the rain described on the “Project Outbound” youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxpmDjB20tQ and here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeUtJVLViO8. I decided to design the construction element for such a system which would fit my tent's needs. This is a design for a Decathlon Forclaz MT900 2-person tent and a 10mm webbing # Print instructions Tested with PET-G, 0.2mm layer, 10 perimeters, 15% infill # Construction instructions - Print 4 of those parts. If your tent poles are color-coded, preferably print them in corresponding colors for easier setup - Set up your tent and place printed parts under each pole (using the larger hole) - Connect the parts using 10mm webbing and secure the connection temporarily with a pin (or an adjuster) - Take the strap system off the tent - Unless you've used an adjuster in the step (3), sew the webbings' ends to secure them and remove pins - Add a webbing loop in the remaining hole - this will be used for attaching the rainfly (skip this if your tent has a different way of attaching the rainfly) #Setting up a tent in the rain - Lay the strap system on the ground - Set up poles using the strap system alone - Attach the free standing skeleton to the ground by placing pegs in remaining (smaller) holes. This will secure your tent from taking off in the wind - Set up the rainfly on the poles - (optional) Place a ground sheet under the rainfly to secure the inner tent from the wet ground - Set up the inner tent under the rainfly (while doing that, reattach the pegs to regular tent's mount places) Happy (and dry) camping!
