Straw Dispenser

Straw Dispenser

thingiverse

This is a straw dispenser that holds about 30 hard straws, the type that come with yoghurt drinks like Yakut and Vitagen. It accommodates straws under 115mm in length and about 3mm diameter. Credit to Jack Houweling's wood-crafted Pencil Dispenser for the idea, this 3D printed version is in just 2 parts (3 if you want the cover, or 4 if you need the magnet slot cap if you're using smaller/ thinner magnets), and requires 2 x M3*12mm screws and a pair of short springs. I added two slots at the back to accommodate 4 neodymium magnets (20mm dia, 3mm thick). However I used 1.5 magnets on each side (recycling broken ones). The dispenser holds firm on any metal fridge door/ surface but easy enough for little hands to operate. Now my kids spend less time in front of an open fridge juggling their drink and straws from the plastic sleeves. https://youtu.be/FdfDGLOCSgA Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Notes: Only the dispenser BODY requires support when printing.
