The idea behind this design is to replicate the eddies and vortices that water naturally experiences flowing down a stream, as it meanders, swirling and colliding around the boulders in the stream. Water's natural state is to do this meandering, swirling and colliding, and not rather forced to flow linearly through pipes, de-structuring it ... de-meandering it. Meaning, its capacity to do work - clean, float objects, hold minerals in suspension, stay clean, stay fresh, grow plants, hydrate, ... , everything - is compromised when water is forced to flow through a pipe ... as in city pipes, house plumbing, and industry. Simply put, pipes denature water ... and composites thereof. Hence the idea behind STREAMFLOW vortex generators: to rectify water flowing in pipes back to a natural state of vortex flow. Note: Experience has shown that the natural stream flow effects produced by STREAMFLOW vortex generators dissipate beginning after 100 feet of pipe flow, losing the stream flow effects completely by 300 feet of pipe flow. Therefore, we recommend installing a STREAMFLOW vortex generator every 100 feet to maintain optimal performance.
