STREET SIGN CLAMP

STREET SIGN CLAMP

thingiverse

Need to attach your fancy custom street sign to something then look no further. Printed on its side with no supports, this clamp should do the trick. You can attach it from the top of the sign, bottom or (of course) the side. Instructions There are essentially 2 versions of the sign - the 10 inch and the flat. If you're going to be attaching to something like a telephone pole sized base then you'll want the one with the slight curve to the base. If you're going to a flat surface then the flat one should work. Printed with ABS using 50% infill and .3 layers, 3 perimeters, 3 top and bottom layers I used 1 inch #10 Stainless Steel bolts - Could get away with 3/4" easily. I know the bolts are kind of big but I felt it would give better support to the thin sign. I also used a flat washer and a nut with a nylon insert to keep it tight. For each type of base I have 2 designs - hollow and solid. If you're interested in saving a little material the hollow design seems to be working fine but I'm sure the solid one would provide additional support. Included is the original Cubify Design file for those interested in modifications.
