Strong Bolt

This bolt is designed to be printed on its side, to increase the strength of the bolt. I found normal bolts printed from the bottom up are prone to shearing in half when under load, due to the grain of the print being in the wrong direction. The bolt has a flat surface to enable easier printing on its side. The tolerance between the nut and bolt is pretty small so I find I have to work the nut and the bolt together a bit to smooth them out. Another possibility would be to print the nut at an increased scale, although I have not tried this. This bolt has a diameter of 1cm and is about 4cm long.
