Strong cable clip

Strong cable clip

A cable clip that won't open simply by the weight or pull of the cables that it's supposed to hold in place. The hook/latch is designed in such a way that it won't open no matter how filled with cables it is or how heavy they are. You have to push the hook in and slightly bend the side wall to unlock it. This makes the locking mechanism very sturdy and able to hold heavy cables well in place even when mounted upside down under desks etc. Opening the latch, putting a cable in and locking again can easily be done with one hand. The screw hole in these files are for M2.5 screws with a countersink. I find 12mm long M2.5 screws pretty ideal for fastening these clips under desks and on other wood surfaces. I upload a few STL files here with clip sizes that I find useful. But I also attach the original FreeCAD file so you can customize it. You can just open the `parameters` spreadsheet in the document and edit the first four parameters to adjust width, height, depth and wall thickness. If your printer has better or worse tolerances than my Prusa MINI+, then you can also change the printer margin for better results. # History I printed most cable clips/organizers on this page and was pretty disappointed. Most of them were locked in such a way that a heavy or stretched cable would easily open the latch by itself.
