Saw a similar design and found it to be a little weak but the license on it does not allow reworks. I designed these from scratch with a beefier guard to protect from rocks and crashes. These guards are designed to be installed without removal of the shock. They are designed to clear the spring adjuster rings and cover the whole shock shaft. Furthermore, the rigidity of the design should allow force to transfer to the shock body in term possibly saving the shock shaft from bending in a crash.
