The intended purpose of my design is to make it easier for individuals to work from their desks at home, especially given the circumstances of today's lifestyle. This desk organizer will make those who utilize it more organized, with ample space for supplies and everyday desk items. Individuals will be able to work with less clutter, which will ultimately lead to them being less stressed. The design of the desk organizer includes 4 areas to place writing utensils, a place large enough to store paper and notebooks, an area with built-in dividers for more paper, a place for your phone and other electronic devices, and an additional area for miscellaneous items. While designing the desk organizer, I stumbled upon a few minor issues such as having to work around not having enough space for certain sections. In addition, I did not want my design to be too simple or too complex, so finding a design that would fit the needs of any individual was difficult at first. If I could redesign this desk organizer again, I would definitely try to make it smaller than it is now, which would also make it much easier to move around as opposed to the current design. 3D Printing would help me visualize my design in real life and identify what I would need to improve upon, as well as find any issues that are not noticeable from the view on the computer screen.
