A woman in a coat is one of the first sculptures made by Henryk Kuna in noble ebony wood. Although it is a very hard and heavy material, the artist masterfully brought out a harmoniously composed figure captured in a characteristic slight movement. It was the female body that was the subject that allowed the sculptor to develop an individual artistic language based on soft and soft forms. At the same time, he omitted many irrelevant details from his point of view, striving to develop large, smooth surfaces enhancing the material's features. Details such as the hair or folds of the mantle have undergone a far-reaching rhythm, which is also noticeable in the natural, smoothly fluctuating system of the body. The expression on the face and gesture of the woman is very puzzling - it is difficult to determine whether she is in a blissful dream or is melancholically avoiding the viewer's eyes.
