After over driving the rear main seal banging it in, I decided to build a little press block that I could use in combination with the flex plate's spreader plate and 4 of its bolts to press the seal in perfectly evenly and to the perfect depth. I then went a bit overboard and created a set of gears for the bolt heads, and central drive gear, that you can drive with a 1/2" ratchet, so all bolts will turn in unison, saving the bother of counting revolutions and what not. I used the tapered press block, but I've also included a untapered press block, which if you used the flex plate or something else sufficiently larger as your spreader plate might work a spidge better, though it worked quite well as built. One caveat, turns out the bolts, for the flex plate at least, aren't very long, so you have to tap in the seal just a little so the bolts can catch and you can stat using this contraption. You could also probably also use this to tap in the seal the whole way too. If you want to grab longer bolts you'll need JIS (14mm hex) M10p1.0x25.
