Designed for use with aftermarket stereos in 2015-2017 Subaru Legacy and Outback models to replace the factory Aux and USB module ([Subaru part # 86257AL00A](https://parts.subaru.com/p/60018578/86257AL00A.html)) The dimensions of the factory part are only just large enough for 3 Keystone sockets. The middle socket is flipped to reduce conflict between the retention tabs on adjacent Keystone jacks, since not all are made to fit so closely together. Many (if not most) aftermarket stereos, even top-end flagship models, do not support USB hubs on their rear USB ports. Since these stereos often have several types of rear inputs and often no front USB inputs, it gets messy or awkward to have cables running between interior panels. This solution allows a neat and customizable way to route those rear inputs to a factory location.
