Subaru Sliding Armrest Latches

Subaru Sliding Armrest Latches

These were a quick hack to fix the broken latches on sliding armrest of my 2007 Subaru Forester. Probably the same parts used on Imprezas from that era. I didn't have a new latch to model, but found the broken hook of one of mine, 2D scanned both parts pushed together, converted to SVG, extruded, and then added the post and hook in 123D. You'll want to print in ABS or PETG, PLA will not likely be strong enough. Also, the hole is slightly undersized, so drill with a 6.5mm bit for a perfect fit. You may also need to file the spring retainer slot a bit to positively capture the spring. Seems to work pretty good on my car, time will tell how long they hold up before I need to print some more.
