Sun and Planetary Gears
In this model, I used ToolBox to import the gears into the assembly mode. You can find the gears I have used in the iso standard parts. This model represents the relative motion of sun gear and its planets in 2 modes. First, if there were 3 planets revolving around the sun, and 2nd, if there were 4 planets.
Using a handle we can see the motion of each mechanism and for the sake of visualization, you can refer to the short clip attached with the files.
The bottom line is that to make a sun and planetary gear you need to exercise working with gear mate under mechanical mates section and figure out if the motion is direct or reverse and some other minor yet important tricks.
