Sun Elk Ornament

Reindeer, Elk and the White Stag have long been associated with the return of the sun at winter solstice holidays (like Christmas, Yule, etc.) in Northern Europe. This ornament portrays a mighty paleolithic elk (Megaloceros) with a widely recognizable sun symbol in its antlers, a symbol so old that it is found in both Europe and in North America.
