Sunlu/Jayo Lid Support

Sunlu/Jayo Lid Support

Updated: February 1st, 2022 I still don't like this support. While it works with a reel of filament in it the unit will topple over if the reel is removed. I've added a better 45 degree lid stop that will keep the unit from flipping backwords when no filament is in the drying unit. Updated: 12-30-21 I have added a 90 degree lid stop. When opening the dryer there is a problem that the center of gravity causing the unit to fall back. Because mine is mounted it doesn't happen often but it has occurred and if I wasn't paying attention the whole unit will flip over. This will prevent the lid from opening too much to allow that to happen. I mounted my Jayo/Sunlu ( eventhough the picture shows it mounted backwards so I can't feed filament from it. :) ) so there was nothing for the original to rest on. This one rests on the unit itself and can be used. I found that it printed fine and fit fine. Someone had commented on the original that it didn't fit. I can only think that it was a high-speed print. It was a bit tight putting it on but nothing to worry about. From the picture you can see that I only printed one so far. It works fine with just one but I'll print and use a second one as I don't want to take a chance and breaking one hinge. Don't forget the supports. The hinge is recessed a bit. While I printed mine without supports it was a bit ugly but I actually not bad enough to require clean up to use.
