I wasn't exactly thrilled with the stock bracket's performance, particularly in terms of tension on the Y axis belt. The stock bracket seemed to deflect under moderate tension, which was a bit of an issue. I even managed to bend mine at one point. Achieving good alignment so the belt wouldn't shift off the pulley was also a challenge. My design might be overkill when it comes to stiffness and durability, but I wanted to err on the side of caution. I did decide to print mine with 100% infill for added peace of mind. You can actually reuse the stock pulleys, spacer, and screw holding them in place without needing the two nuts. The design allows you to use the stock screws that mount the bracket to the aluminum extrusion, but I wasn't entirely confident that the screws wouldn't loosen over time due to vibration. So, I ended up purchasing some longer screws, washers, and nuts. The addition of nuts at the head of the screw enables adjusting the bracket without needing to turn the screw itself. I also added nuts at the tip of the screw to lock it in place, preventing any potential backout or turning. Between the nut at the screw head and the bracket, I inserted a washer to prevent direct loading on the bracket surface. So far, after using it for just a few prints, my design has proven rock solid.
