This is a replacement sunvisor clip for a Mercedes-Benz** w126 (S-class 1983-1991). The driver-side clip in my 300SE cracked due to age and overuse, so I set about designing a replacement. This clip is not a perfect replica of the original, but is close enough in appearance (especially once installed) to be noticed by only the most discerning eye. It has been designed to function as per the original, and be easy to print easily. Several revisions of the design were tested, and this was the final and best performer. The model comes with some support features, which have proven successful. I have also provided a 'no support' model if required. I recommend for beige or tan interiors such as mine, where finding a matching filament is difficult, to print the clip in black, as this matches many other trim details in the roof panel (e.g. the centre light cluster). ** No affiliation Instructions Recommended print settings: Use model with support fins, orient flat face to bed (as shown) 30% infill 0.2 mm layer height No support (support fins included in the model) Post-processing: When finished, cut the support fins off the part flush with surrounding surfaces. These surfaces are hidden once installed. Installation: Unclip sun visor and move to side Remove cap from existing clip (if present) Using a Phillips 2 screwdriver, unscrew recessed screw and remove clip Install new clip using existing screw. Do not fully tighten. Clip sun visor into new clip, ensuring alignment. Holding clip carefully in place, unclip visor and tighten screw (no, I'm not M-B, I'm not giving you a torque setting!)
