SuperHero Ring

SuperHero Ring

For this project I had to make a 3D object out of acrylic using the epilog engraver. This ring is made of six seperate parts: four fork-shaped ring parts, one long ring part and an 'm' that snaps into the ring once it is glued together. The 'm' should be printed seperately from the other ring parts if you want it to be a different color. I chose blue for the 'm' and clear for the actual ring. The dimensioning for this project was a little more complicated than the others but its worth it in the end because it's by far the best thing I've made yet! Instructions To make the SuperHero Ring you should make the ring parts and 'm' in Inventor since that program allows for easier dimensioning. For printing, you should use 3mm acrylic and vector cut it at a speed of 12, a power of 100 and a frequency of 5000. Once all six parts are cut out, glue the five ring parts together with the 'm' on top as it will be on the finished ring. Use a clamp to hold all of the pieces together and use minimal glue - it goes a long way and you dont want it to get all over the acrylic because it won't look as nice.
