Supernova - a violent astronomical phenomena which rapidly unfolds when a star reaches the end of its life. It appears that while the outward force of the explosion ejects some of the material into the interstellar space, the inward force collapses the remaining material into a superdense stellar object such as a neutron star. In this 3D model, each layer of the ejected material was modeled in Blender v2.78 and the associated textures were painted in GIMP 2.
