I publish my first job here, but before that, I had a long history of working on various projects with mixed outcomes. I created this reel support because I faced space constraints at the top where I installed my Ender3, which has limited vertical clearance. To address this issue, I designed a support that would accommodate common types of reels from multiple angles - both in terms of the central hole and reel thickness. On these supports, I mounted taper adapters, which are typically used on skateboard bearings. A single 8mm threaded rod holds everything together, and to secure the supports and adapters, I utilized standard 13mm nuts fitted into two practical knobs. The end result exceeded my expectations and functions flawlessly. I used Geetech black PLA with a 1.75mm diameter, extruded at 195 degrees Celsius, and the initial support was printed at 215 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the Ender3's glass top is heated to 60 degrees Celsius for optimal printing conditions. My hope is that this project will be helpful and meet the needs of other creators. I welcome feedback and constructive criticism - anything that can improve this design is valuable to me.
