This two-part support holds a chip in place with a base where the chip itself is seated, and a protective cover. The cover features a small opening that allows for precise exposure of the chip's surface when it's angled towards a beam of light. As a result, the entire chip remains shielded except for the area directly beneath the aperture, which is fully exposed to receive the beam.
