This support lets you mount a standard endstop, which can be used as a filament end sensor. You then need to enable it through the firmware and connect it to the RAMPs board on a free port. When the filament runs out, the sensor sends a signal to the board, triggering the filament change routine. This pauses the print job and resumes at exactly the right moment. No more finishing with almost-used-up filament, forcing you to reprint the entire job - wasting time and money. It's designed for attachment to the acrylic wall of the Prusa i3.
