v1 is the 1st make v2 LED is slightly improved end caps (flatter) and NOT COMPATIBLE with v1's screws. v2's screw points were widened to make room for LED strip channel. You can use v2 with or without LED strips. LED's illuminate anything unless the filament is transparent enough to allow light through them. would be good for glow in the dark filaments or transparent.. white would probably work well too. How you wire and route the LED strip is left to your imagination. This is a 7" long section of door trim that when printed multiple times (about 8), can be added together to form an entire length of trim for a Mk3 Supra. This is not finished but many were chomping at the bit to get even just this basic piece. So here it is. I still need to figure out body mounting hardware and the final end piece's length and end cap angle for the rear of the door but this is enough to get started from the front and modify from here on. It is designed for 2 screws to be used to cinch them together. I suggest starting the screws though the first piece and heating the tips of the screws before running them into the next piece as it allows the screws to soften the plastic rather than break it. I also heated the back side on the head of the screws after they were tightened in order to soften the plastic enough to level the two together. I used a butane torch quickly and carefully (1-3 seconds max at a time). Too much heat is very bad. You can always add heat again if its not enough the first time. I ran 13% infill and it feels strong enough. however i may suggest thicker walls than normal to help with the screws. I'm no pro with slicing vs printing quality so take my advice only if your relatively new at this. otherwise you likely know better than me. Worst thing that happens is you print another lol.
