Surface Pro Docking Station Plug Cover

thingiverse

I love my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and the new version of the Docking Station. BUT I really don't like the bright light on the plug since I have the computer in my bedroom. Every night before I got to bed I have to cover up my computer with a blanket to cover the light. I just got a 3D printer and thought this could be a good first project for me to try and make something to fix my issue. Since I don't have any calipers it took me 4 attempts to get the fit fairly good. It isn't the best, but it works! I think for the best results you should print this in a darker filament and maybe even put a piece of duct tape inside where the light is to cover it even better. Please post if you make and if you improve on it. Edit: Realized initial upload I accidentally uploaded the wrong file. It is fixed now. :) Print Settings Printer: New Matter Mod-t Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 15%
