It is a pair of wedges which fits between the tiles of a roof. By connecting them with a rope, a roll of insulation can be hung between the two to be unwound. This prevents the roller from dragging on the ground or being too difficult to use. The chocks can be moved so that the roller is positioned in the right way throughout the evolution of the site.
