Multicolour Suzuki DR-Z keychain using the method of DukeDoks. A summary of how to print this in Cura: 1. In Cura, go to Preferences > Configure Cura and uncheck 'Ensure models are kept apart.' 2. Import one copy of each stl. 3. Select each STL and set X and Y to all the same value. I used 0 for simplicity. 4. Optional - since it's a bit of faff to get multicolour prints, I printed a few at a time. Ctrl+A to select everything, right click and 'Group Models'. Then, right click and multiply models as many times as you choose and arrange them close to each other keeping in mind we do not want the extruder to move over an already printed area. 5. Ctrl+A to select all models again and move Z to -1 so we don't print the base intended for model alignment. If you are printing multiple models, now is the time to right click and 'Ungroup Models.' 6. We now need a junk model to get the extruder up to correct height for printing the lettering. Since we're using one colour for 'DR-' and another for 'Z', we will need 2 pieces. I use the base model as it's already the correct height. Right click on one of the bases and duplicate the model. Resize it so it's a small square, ensuring Uniform Scaling is unticked. 7. Duplicate this little square for the second one. Move these to Z -1 so they're at the same height as the other base pieces. 8. Move the squares so the extruder path will enter over the already printed areas without disturbing anything else. See my screenshots as an example. My extruder enters the build volume from the top so it'll probably be different in your situation. 9. Now might be a good time to save your arrangement in Cura in case you fuck up. 10. Shift+click everything except the base models and delete. Slice this and export the gcode. 11. Undo so everything comes back then shift+click everything except the 'DR-' letters and its respective junk square. Delete, slice and save the gcode. 12. Undo again then repeat. Delete everything except 'Z' and its respective junk square. It should look something like this: 13. Print each gcode, changing filaments in between. The 'DR-' ideally should be printed before 'Z' as the hyphen is lower in case you don't have enough clearance.
