Sylvanian Families Church

This is a model church at the right scale for the popular Sylvanian Familes range of figures. The church comes with 8 pews and has some lovely detailing on the door, windows, roof and tower. The tower has mounting holes to fit a music box mechanism if you would like to, mine plays the wedding march but amazon sells lots of different tunes. The windows are made by printing a colourful pattern onto acetate (be sure to use acetate that is compatible with your printer). The whole design can be cut from four 60x40cm sheets of 3mm ply with minimal waste. Construction is time consuming as I deliberately made the joints nice and tight, I glued mine but I suspect it would hold together just fine without glue. You will need a mallet and some clamps to put this together, be careful to protect the model with scrap wood when hitting or clamping it. *Update:* I've uploaded a second version of the design which has a number of improvements including an opening door no finger joints in the area of the "Praise Ye The Lord" banner. *Update:* I've uploaded a third version of the design with further improvements including an improved roof and a decorative door frame that also stops the door opening outwards and straining the hinges.
