I made a camera mount specifically for shooting straight down with my GoPro - here's how I did it! First, I used a foam scrunchy as a vibration damper, but you can choose any material you prefer. To hold everything together, I employed silicone hairbands which turned out to be super effective. As an added feature, the shoe has two sizes, so be sure to measure before buying. The high-profile one uses an M3 knurl nut for secure attachment, while the low-profile model simply relies on some good old-fashioned glue. Check out the on-board footage from my test flight - you can view it right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efYNgQyOugU To protect my lens during filming, I just happened to have this protective screen lying around: http://www.dx.com/p/protective-gp103-glasses-fpv-lens-uv-ultra-violet-filter-for-gopro-hero3-black-267694#.Vn3EZVnBP0I More of these lenses are on the way, but it's going to take some time before they arrive.
