Syringe pump 0.3 ml intradermal
thingiverse
To deliver antibodies, a micro-liter syringe pump was needed for a 3D printed auto-immunostainer which functioned efficiently. This setup works well with 2mm (3D printed) maker-beams and connectors. For other connector options, refer to my another project. The makerbeam bed measures 12cm in length and can be found on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28179. Designed in TrueSpace and printed with an Up3D printer using ABS material at normal resolution, it was controlled by PM42L-o48-17 steppers in conjunction with a Phidgets four unipolar motor controller, all connected through Labview for seamless interface operation. The micro-liter control provided by the setup ensured no backlash during use; standard threaded rod served as the drive screw, while two nuts with slurry paste were utilized in the driver head for optimal performance.
