This was my senior design project completed in 2016. It is a large scale 3D printer comprising of a ABB industrial robotic arm, a custom designed plastic computer, and controlled by a Linux computer running Robot Operating System (ROS).Our project won the "Best Design" award, chosen from over 70 senior design projects in the mechanical engineering department at Virginia Tech.I was personally responsible for the designing the user interface, integrating Slic3r in the command line to create gcode, and converting gcode into robot poses that ROS could understand.Team: Edward Cottiss, Oliver Ebeling-Koning, Taylor Pesek, Matthew Price, Zackary Snow, David Tichnell, and Mark Traverso
