Soviet made T-55 main battle tank The T-55 was officially adopted by the Soviet Army in 1958. Its production commenced during the same year. This tank was license-produced in China, Czechoslovakia and Poland. It is estimated that around 70 000 T-54 and T-55 tanks were produced in the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia and Poland. This figure does not include tanks produced in China. Since its introduction the T-55 has seen combat in more than 20 wars. Both the T-54 and T-55 were heavily influenced by the Soviet experience gained during the WW2. The T-55 was the first Soviet tank, fitted with an efficient NBC protection system. At the time it was the only tank in the world, capable of fighting after a nearby nuclear explosion. -Softwares used to produce this model were Blender3D and Substance Painter. -Model specs: -Structure: Polygonal model with applied subdiv modifiers, the model is separated into 12 objects, one for each material. -Materials: 12 different materials using principled shader for .blend format prepared for dropping textures to corresponding slot for PBR workflow. -Textures: 37 texture maps for PBR 1024x1024, with opacity map for glass material. ID maps for materials that use them are added as well in .zip format, the only overlaping uv's are the threads (same texture for each piece) -Intended Use: -This model is made for renders specifically, designed to be light on the scene due to lower poly-count and smaller texture size. Good enough for close-up shots as well. -It could be used in real-time rendering engines such as unity or unreal, though it is not reccomended because of poly and material count. -If you need a specific file format that is not included here, feel free to contact me and I will try to help you. -This model is only my artistic interpretation of the existing famous tank
