T-800 Terminator on Base

T-800 Terminator on Base

This is a complete T-800 exoskeleton on a base holding a gun. The original model is available here: http://www.terminatorfiles.com/goodies/3d/endo12.zip. I did not make it. I did go to hell and back trying to print it. I put in a ton of work to create the stl files, so I hope all the Terminator fans like this. This is not for the faint of heart. Check the instructions on how to print it. Instructions To print the more detailed pieces like the head, hands and lower leg pieces you need to slice this by with 100 micron layers and .25mm extrusion width (that's settings for simplify 3D). The solid base pieces can be done at standard extrusion width and 200 micron layer height. Other sections which don't involve as much detail can be done at .35 extrusion width and still use 100 micron layer height. It works, it's still a pain to get the supports off without breaking fingers (his, not yours). I printed it at 2.0 scale, it can be done at 1 scale (maybe, I tried an arm at 1.5, and it worked), but it looks better bigger. I used silver PLA and weld-on 16 to glue it together. I also use a soldering gun set at 500F to actually do some real welding to fuse and shape/fix some pieces. Total print time is ~ 150hrs + some trial and error working out the issues in the geometry.
