TTGO T-JOURNAL board and battery enclosure AIM : - Have a gopro type support (nearly universal). - Allow to insert usual Li-ion cell reused from laptop battery inside. - Provide CAO files to modify in case of future modification from the manufacturer. You can use for any purpose but it was originally designed for the Radin Target camera 2 (long range camera via ESP-NOW) to replace the HW818 board that need to modify it to get an external antenna (with some risk to fail), which is less convenient to program (need press flash button inside the enclosure and unplug/plug again) than the T-JOURNAL, which have as bonus a Lipo/Li-ion connector that charge the battery when USB is connected. Oled sreen wasn’t necessary but useful despite it… Laptop batteries are tubular 18.2mm diameter and 64mm long. You can also use any Lipo/Li-ion battery from old smartphone with approximately 47x39x9mm maximum dimension. If you use battery (optionnal), to switch on the board press reset button once, to switch off, press it twice. Pay attention to never switch on the board without antenna connected (risk of damage), so to mount it with a battery : 1) Connect the battery connector to the board and only one wire (+ or -) to the battery. 2) Insert the printed button in the enclosure and then insert the board. 3) CONNECT THE ANTENNA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. 4) Connect the second wire to the battery. Hardware tutorial in the begining of this video : https://youtu.be/c7P6tm1LVd4 Battery using esp-now continuously last between 3h20mins and 7h. Manufacturer website (with link to buy) : http://www.lilygo.cn/prod_view.aspx?TypeId=50067&Id=1121&FId=t3:50067:3 /!\ If you need to remove the antenna, always disconnect USB. After it, if you have a battery connected, switch off the board before to remove the antenna. Never leave it without antenna for long time and during that moment be very careful to don’t press accidentally the button while handling the cam or if it fall on it! /!\ Pay attention that it’s made for the TTGO T-Journal with normal lens and not fish-eye (lens diameter is different and cone of cover plate won’t be wide enough for the view angle, it need to modify it). Walls and Top/bottom 0.8 or 1.2mm if you need it to be strong, use the infill you want, 20% look ok for me. The back part need supports but you’ll be better to block it on the gopro mount (but not under it).
