A "hammer-style" printable T-nut for Misumi 2020 alu profile (commonly used in MendelMax), can be inserted into the groove from the side instead of having to slide it from the end. Instructions Print, drill out the hole to 2.5 mm, insert into the profile, screw in a M3 machine screw. The T-nut should automatically turn 90 degrees and stop. Machine screws probably won't work with ABS (too soft), but I used polycarbonate at 300 C and holding the spool arms and more seems to be no problem at all with regular M3 screws. Print with a brim, otherwise these will easily get knocked off by the print head.
