T12 PORTABLE SOLDER STATION FERREX / ALDI 20v BATTERY

This is a portable solder station designed to take a 20v Active Energy Ferrex 20v battery commonly available in Aldi Stores. It is based around the now ubiquitous older STC 32 based T12 soldering station boards available from China. I've deliberately not included any wiring instructions because basically if you don't know what you are wiring up you probably should think twice before assembling this. Batteries are inherently dangerous and I'm not even sure these contain any BMS/undervoltage protection/etc. Because of this I've included a voltmeter so I dont run this down to anything below 15v just incase. I've also designed a clip over holder for the iron, solder spool and tip cleaner - it's a bit function over form aesthetically speaking, but it sure works well :) In designing this I used part of the mesh from this excellent thing for the beginings of the battery interface https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4588849 by thingiverse user sagittario (https://www.thingiverse.com/sagittario/designs)
