T8 Leadscrew Clamp Collar, 8mm or 2mm Lead, 8mm Diameter Lead Screw

Clamp / Collar for 8mm diameter (T8) Lead Screw, have designs for both 8mm and 2mm lead. I also have designs for couplings to join these to Nema 23's, see my other things. Threaded so that it fits nice and tight with the lead screw, plastic then clamps and flexes to hold the shaft, needs two M3 nuts and bolts. I used 15mm long. Printing these will be very dependant on the tolerances of your machine. If you find it too tight / loose then try scaling appropriately. Bear in mind that very small differences can have significant results - but also that it should be as tight as it can be, while allowing you to screw it into place. Also note that the thread at the two ends are ever so slightly different - the thread that tapers artificially should be facing up. This avoids flimsy overhangs, and makes it easier to screw into place. I printed in ABS. You'll need to use support material for the arm sections, plus likely a good sized brim or something like that to give enough contact area to glue to the bed. I designed this and similar other 3D printed parts, for use on a CNC machine I was designing. I use these clamp collars to hold the lead screw, then compressed two bearings against either side for pre-load. But I am sure there are many other uses! Enjoy.
