This gasket was designed to protect an outdoor glass table hole cut in the center of it, and is meant to protect the glass from being chipped or damaged by a pole such as an umbrella being placed inside of the hole. The gasket as originally designed to fit a 2" wide diameter, 3/8" thick glass and allow approximately 1.5" wide umbrellas (may allow slightly wider).
