Table Tennis Low Serve Trainer

Table Tennis Low Serve Trainer

My table tennis coach at WCTTA told me that good serves should be kept low, clearing the net by no more than the radius of a ball, 20mm. You can practice low serves with these stands and a broomstick. The broomstick blocks serves higher than 20mm above the net. The stands are more than 6" long, so they will not print on smaller 3d printers. I printed them on a Replicator 2 with 2 shells and 10% infill. The broomstick I used is 5' long and 7/8" in diameter. The stands require a gap between the two halves of the table. I attached furniture felt protectors at the base of the stands (see photo) to keep the stands secure between the two halves of the table. If you don't have felt protectors, you can use small squares of cardboard taped or glued to the stand instead.
