I got my first miniature for D&D and decided to make the painting stand idea that was in my head. The top and bottom are two separate pieces that press-fit around and into a skateboard bearing (608 size). This way you can hold the handle and use your support hand thumb to rotate the mini without changing your whole grip. I realized I made my simple idea overly complicated, and then made a model with the two pieces together in one solid piece if anyone wanted a super low-tech version. I then realized this version looked a little too phallic and added some details and chamfers to try to minimize that. ;) Whichever version you might choose, I just used a dab of hot glue to attach my mini, as it was a resin print. If you have an FDM or other plastic mini, a small clump of "sticky-tack" would do nicely. You shouldn't need supports to print either one. I sized it through trial and error and careful measuring so the bearings would fit, but due to thermal expansion, your results may need slight tweaking.
