Tabletop Miniature Painting Handle

Tabletop Miniature Painting Handle

After recently joining a Dungeons and Dragons party I found I needed a better way to hold a mini for painting. After getting a little restless while social distancing, I opted to design a handle of my own. This prints in 3 parts. You will need to print the clamp file twice if you print the parts individually. I've also included a file with all three pieces. I recommend printing each part vertically, for the clamp file that would be oriented so that the round cut out is pointing up.  Additionally this does not require any support material to print. After printing you just need a rubber band and a mini to paint.I found that the clamp pieces have a tight fit at first but after being pushed in and slid back and forth a few times they loosen up and move smoothly.I've used this with minis with bases ranging 25mm to 45mm all of which were held securely.  For a larger base you may need to have the mini sit between the clamps at an angle or you can scale up the handle and clamps to fit your needs.   **Quick Note** If you have an issue scaling the models, with them coming out too small, the height of the handle standing is 85.2mm and the height of the clamp standing is 43.53mm. Happy printing!
