TackyMount: VR BASE STATION WALL MOUNT FOR 2.0 LIGHTHOUSES

thingiverse

A simple wall mount to help when more destructive mounting methods aren't an option. This mount was designed to work with the Steam VR 2.0 lighthouses while only utilizing 4 thumb tacks to reduce the damage done to walls, a good alternative if you live in an apartment or a barracks. This design has a 30deg downward slant and the base station can pivot to the left or right up to 90 degrees, offering much more freedom for your lighthouse mounting needs. The mount is best printed on a resin printer using a fairly tough resin like Conjure Rigid, or Sunlu PA like, ABS like resins would probably be fine too. The mount prints on it's flat side nicely with no supports. To Install: Once you line it up where you want it, push the top thumb tacks into the wall first as they have a downward angle to prevent pulling out, then push in the bottom tacks to secure it. Use the standard ball fastener that came with the base stations to attach it to the mount, then route the cable through the large slot and secure it behind the clip on the underside of the mount for a clean look. If you need to adjust the angle of the base station, just loosen the ball screw and rotate the station left or right as needed.
