Tactical Scope Turret Knob Replacement by Olin Coles I have designed this replacement scope turret to help ease the turning of finger adjustable pinch-twist windage and elevation knobs found on many brands of budget scopes (examples pictured), giving better tactile feedback with a larger profile. Adding a label around the turret enables repeatable adjustment. Instructions: Remove two small screws holding the standard pinch-twist dial, and replace them with this tactical turret knob. The pinch-twist dials and dust caps are no longer used after these replacement turrets are installed. Decal: It may be desirable to include minute and subtension marks around the turret so that data can be recorded and elevation or windage can be returned to 0 AFTER the scope has been correctly zeroed. Wrap tape or an adhesive decal measuring 88.1 mm long by 8 mm tall around the outer turret cylinder, beginning and ending the label so the seam sits at 0. Turn the turret the predefined clicks (usually four) in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise) to increase, and mark the next minute. Each scope model is different, so refer to manufacturer specifications for the correct number of clicks per minute.
