Taig CNC Mill X Axis Transmission

Taig CNC Mill X Axis Transmission

Complete transmission assembly from X axis of Taig CNC mill. I measured my own mill and drew all the parts natively in Fusion 360. (Except stepper which I found on here and modified to match my stepper shaft). The mill is the V-thread leadscrew version, and was purchased new in about 2005. This model can be very helpful if you want to change the steppers and come up with your own coupling design, stepper mounting, belt drive mounting, etc. All parts and details are modeled. I'd say everything is plus/minus 0.005" to be safe, but probably better.I modeled it using a "bottom-up" approach. Therefore, no part depends on another from a CAD standpoint. I did it this way figuring if people will be modifying their Taig, they may add/subtract parts at will, and this way there would be no CAD dependencies. If you want to add it to the existing STEP format complete CNC mill file floating around, see the last picture for dimensions of the holes on the table. Then, use two revolute joint commands to assemble the endplate from this assembly into the STEP file.STEP format also included if you are using something other than Fusion 360.Rev Block:2020 Apr 16 - Initial Release - Rev 17
