Welcome to Taipei! This model was created by MiniWorld3D collaborator Artemio García (@artemiogj). This is available in several versions: • Regular, single color (updated in 2022 with more detail and better printability) • Multiple part • Multicolor (Mosaic Mfg. Palette / Prusa MMU) The Taipei 101 (Chinese: 臺北101/台北101; stylized as TAIPEI 101), is a supertall, green (LEED platinum certification) skyscraper designed by C.Y. Lee & Partners in Xinyi, Taipei, Taiwan. This building was officially classified as the world's tallest from its opening in 2004 at 509.2 m (1,671 ft) as measured to the spire, until 2010 when the Burj Khalifa was completed in Dubai, UAE. Taipei 101's postmodernist architectural style evokes traditional Asian aesthetics in a modern structure employing industrial materials. Its design incorporates a number of features that enable the structure to withstand the Pacific Rim's earthquakes and the region's tropical storms. The tower houses offices and restaurants as well as both indoor and outdoor observatories. The tower is adjoined by a multilevel shopping mall. The tower has 101 floors that mean the renewal of time: the new century that arrived as the tower was built (100+1) and all the new years that follow (1 January = 1-01). It symbolizes lofty ideals by going one better on 100, a traditional number of perfection. The number also evokes the binary numeral system used in digital technology. The main tower features a series of eight segments of eight floors each, which in Chinese-speaking cultures is the number associated with abundance, prosperity and good fortune. The repeated segments simultaneously recall the rhythms of an Asian pagoda, a stalk of bamboo, and a stack of ancient Chinese ingots or money boxes. There is also great symbolism in the decorations in the exterior, feng shui in its interior, and it works a gigantic sundial by casting its shadow on a circular garden around the base.  At night, the tower's lights display one of seven colors in the spectrum, one for each day of the week (from Wikipedia). MiniWorld3D is excited to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of Taiwan.
