Tall threaded tube

Tall threaded tube

I needed a tall tube to put my needle files in, it had to be over 150mm so is really pushing it for most 3D printers, so I decided to make a tube that would push into another tube with a lid. So you have three pieces - the bottom with a bit that push-fits into the middle, the middle with a thread, and the lid which screws onto that thread, total internal height over about 150mm, but prints at about half that. I made the hole in bottom/middle cylinders tapered (cones) so there is no sudden 90 degree edge which might have needed supports. I split the STL into three files to make it easier to print however you like. Very loosely based on pmoews pill containers and using the threads library. Print Settings Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.30mm Infill: 10% Notes: Printed a smaller version in Hongdak wood PLA with 3 shells at 0.18mm/20% infill. Full sized printed in Hatchbox Neon Green PLA came out really well with 3 shells at 0.30mm/10% infill. Took under 6 hours to print. I had to sand about 1mm off of the middle piece so the bottom would push-fit in, but I've fixed the model now.
