Talos-class Light Cruiser

My rendition of the Talos-class Light Cruiser from Halo. Most of the thrusters and turrets were removed to simplify the appearance and reduce the file size. I may/may not texture this. The Talos-class light cruiser is a light capital ship classification in the UNSC Navy. It is best suited to escort duties and close-in heavy fire support. The UNSC’s cruisers were expensive to replace when lost in combat, while cheaper Frigates were rather ineffective in combat against the Covenant. The snub-nosed Talos serves as a halfway point between destroyers and cruisers, designed to move quickly and provide heavy fire support to cruisers. Instead of a MAC or Archer pods, it has a fixed forward battery of Archer missiles that fires in heavy volume, able to overpower Covenant point defense and batter down shields, and help KEEP them down. However the missiles do not have the MAC’s range, and the Talos must get in closer to use it’s weapons to full effect, where it’s light armor can get it in trouble.
