Replacement front upright for a Tamiya blackfoot classic RC car. Instructions I got given a family heirloom of a pair of Tamiya RC cars belonging to my wife and her brother when they were young, now nearly 30 years old, and we fitted lipo etc, then son crashed into a wall flat out and 30 year old plastic turned out to be fragile and any replacement part is liable to be age embrittled too so spawned the need for this thing. Printing I tried it a few orientations on the bed so the supports interfere with the mating surfaces the least so the rugged appearance on my print is where I broke away the supports with pliers, being too impatient to test it to sand them off! For construction I ran a 3mm drill through the smaller upright pivot hole, and a 7.2mm for the stub axle as its tight when printed but needs to be a good snug fit, or use pla and squeeze the stub axle and pivot in when its warm for a cosy light interference fit, balljoint fitment is a m3x0.5 and I ran a tap through the printed hole and superglued the ball joint in when it was tightening. I printed mine out in PLA and its survived a few test crashes since. Have fun!
